Job summary

Chemtrade's Richmond, CA site is seeking an Industrial Reliability Mechanic for day shift duties. You will open and clean tank vessels, perform welding, repair pumps and gearboxes, and execute precision alignments as part of routine preventive maintenance.

You’ll support piping replacements and general plant upkeep while adhering to safety procedures. The role involves being part of the emergency response team, with overtime and call-outs as needed, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial/chemical maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read safety rules, manuals, and diagrams/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Open and clean tank vessels as part of scheduled work.
• Perform certified welding, cutting, and burning.
• Repair pumps, gearboxes, and motors.
• Execute precision alignment on couplings and sheaves for mechanical power transmission.
• Replace piping and valves.
• Support general plant upkeep and maintenance.
• Serve on the emergency response team.
• Complete work instructions and forms related to maintenance, safety, and preventative maintenance.
