Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Technical Instructional Design Specialist to join our Learning & Development team. The role designs technical training for Reliability & Maintenance Engineering technicians, delivering in-person, virtual, and online programs that address skill gaps and business needs.

You will collaborate with SMEs, design trainer and participant materials, and measure content effectiveness across multiple modalities, balancing deadlines with evolving field demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in instructional design or a related field.
• Experience designing technical learning and development content for field-based roles.
• Proven ability to apply adult learning theory to practical training solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SMEs to scope, outline, and design technical learning experiences aligned to skill gaps.
• Build relationships with leaders in the field and support roles for effective collaboration.
• Design in-person and virtual trainer-led courses, including trainer and participant materials.
• Communicate instructional design progress to leaders and project stakeholders.
• Prioritize and track multiple content builds against objectives and milestones.
• Ensure learning objectives and deadlines are met within scope.
• Make informed decisions by consulting SMEs to meet content deadlines and delivery methods.
• Design online content aligned to business needs and role-specific performance gaps.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of content and training modalities.
• Balance multiple requests and timelines, communicating roadblocks and needed changes.
