Job summary

Ingredion is seeking a Reliability Engineering intern for summer 2026 at our Winston-Salem site. You will work with operations and maintenance to learn processes and drive continuous improvement of maintenance systems, developing criticality-based equipment strategies and PM routes.

The role offers hands-on learning in corn wet milling and reliability technologies, with SAP knowledge a plus, and a pathway to expand skills in data analytics, condition monitoring, and new tech in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s (or master’s) degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Chemical Engineering considered with GPA 3.0+.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer internship.
• Willingness to learn operational, maintenance and reliability processes.
• Strong technical communication and data analytics skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn processes with operations and maintenance teams.
• Develop criticality-based equipment strategies and preventative maintenance routes.
• Support PM optimization and condition monitoring.
• Assist root cause analysis of equipment issues.
