Job summary

Enviva seeks an Engineering and Operations Intern for our Faison, NC facility. You will support process improvement and equipment reliability efforts while learning from experienced professionals in process engineering, operations, and maintenance.

This hands-on internship offers exposure to data collection, analysis, and documentation using Excel, Power BI, and project tracking systems. You will shadow engineers, assist with SOP updates, and contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical).
• GPA of 2.7 or greater.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with process improvement projects to boost efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Analyze technical data to support plant operations and equipment performance.
• Document progress using Excel, Power BI, and project tracking tools.
• Shadow engineers and operators to learn lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Support creation or updating of procedures and SOPs for process improvements.
• Support data collection during trials or maintenance events.
• Participate in plant safety and operations discussions.
