Job summary

James Hardie Building Products Inc. is seeking an experienced maintenance reliability specialist to improve asset performance in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

You will lead root cause analyses, develop durable engineering solutions, and implement best practices to maximize mean time between failures across plants. You will collaborate with plant engineers and maintenance teams, use CMMS tools, and analyze asset data to drive cost reductions and reliability gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 3–5 years in an industrial continuous 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Advanced knowledge in reliability centered maintenance, FMEA, and criticality analysis.
• Experience with CMMS (INFOR BE or equivalent).
• Proficient with basic PC software.

Responsibilities

• Assist manufacturing operations with reliability center maintenance to reduce unplanned asset failures.
• Lead root cause analyses to eliminate production losses and high maintenance costs.
• Develop engineering solutions for repetitive failures affecting plant operations.
• Develop and implement best practices to maximize mean time between failures.
• Guide reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes and safety systems.
• Analyze asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness and remaining useful life.
• Provide technical support to production, maintenance management and technical staff.
• Assist in asset material list classification and development.
• Review and apply statistical methods to identify reliability trends.
• Establish and track reliability metrics.
