Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is hiring an Electrical Engineer, Hardware Reliability (Build Reliability). You will work across design, test, and manufacturing to ensure avionics and power systems meet reliability goals, spending time on the factory floor, in the lab, and in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.
• 1+ years in manufacturing, quality and/or design engineering (internship or student project experience qualifies).
• Hands-on experience designing and/or troubleshooting PCBs/PCBA assemblies.
• Experience supporting production and test of complex electromechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design, test, and manufacturing to ensure reliability of avionics parts (controllers, RIOs, sensors, RF, power systems, solar arrays, wire harnesses).
• Track yield, test/inspection escapes, and ensure past failures are incorporated into NPIs.
• Develop, implement and validate lean test and inspection processes; ensure quality goals are met.
