Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering and/or technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in reliability/maintenance/engineering in a process manufacturing facility.
  • Strong technical problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead effort to maintain predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.
  • Lead RCFA investigations for chronic, recurring, high-impact failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Track reliability efforts against maintenance workflows and KPI performance.
  • Analyze PM effectiveness and recommend maintenance strategy improvements.
  • Support PM change-control processes through technical evaluations.
  • Provide reliability input during equipment design, installation, commissioning, rebuilds, and modifications.

Philip Morris USA is seeking a highly motivated Associate Manager, Manufacturing [Reliability Engineer] to lead manufacturing initiatives that optimize performance, strengthen reliability, and support the achievement of business goals. In this role, you will lead and develop teams while partnering closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive operational improvements, solve complex manufacturing challenges, and deliver sustainable results. You will leverage Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to drive measurable business results, leverage data, technical expertise, and continuous improvement principles to enhance productivity, improve equipment and process performance, and ensure safe, efficient operations.


What you will be doing:

Support Asset Reliability and Predictive Maintenance


  • Lead effort to maintain established Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs within.

  • Drive collaborative efforts with Maintenance and Operations teams to convert reliability findings into executable work.


Lead Reliability Improvement Efforts


  • Lead and support Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA) for chronic, recurring, and high-impact equipment failures.

  • Identify and implement practical corrective actions that eliminate failure causes and prevent recurrence.

  • Track reliability efforts against established maintenance workflows and KPI performance.


Drive PM Optimization and Maintenance Strategy


  • Analyze PM effectiveness and recommend improvements to maintenance strategies.

  • Support PM change-control processes through technical evaluations and recommendations.


Maintenance and Engineering Support


  • Provide reliability input during equipment design, installation, commissioning, rebuilds, and modifications.

  • Support asset criticality assessments and maintenance strategy development.


What we want you to have:


  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering and/or professional certification in technical field is preferred.

  • Minimum 5+ years proven experiencein reliability, maintenance, engineering or related field preferably in a process manufacturing facility.

  • Strong technical problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Certification - Experience Preferences


  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)

  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)

  • Certified Reliability Leader (CRL)

  • Experience applying Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.

  • Experience leading Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations.

  • Certified in One or More Predictive Maintenance technology applications.

  • SAP PM or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience.


The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $104,900.00 - $152,150.00.
