Job description

We are seeking a Release Triage Engineer to play a key role in ensuring timely, high-quality software releases across a diverse device ecosystem. You will take ownership of the end-to-end release quality and triage lifecycle, including deployment validation, issue triage, mitigation, and the development of tools to support software release operations.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with C/C++, Python, and Linux in production environments.
  • Experience with log management, monitoring, and analytics tools, such as ELK (Elastic Stack), Splunk, and Grafana.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language, e.g., Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Experience as a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead, including mentoring junior engineers and influencing technical decisions.
  • Strong experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Proficiency with source control management tools, such as Git and GitHub.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or Amazon Athena for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with AWS services, such as S3, Athena, QuickSight, is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure high-quality software releases across multiple device types by monitoring operational metrics and alerting systems.
  • Respond rapidly to critical field issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Troubleshoot end-to-end issues across broadband devices and platform components, including WiFi/Mesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, LTE, and related access technologies.
  • Perform source code reviews to identify defects and root causes.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues using Linux systems, networking protocols, and packet capture analysis.
  • Design, enhance, and maintain operational and triage tools, and architect DevOps solutions to improve system performance and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze data from millions of deployed devices using AWS services to generate actionable insights.
  • Develop and apply anomaly detection and data-driven techniques to proactively identify system issues, including global metric comparisons across device models.
