Job summary

Worldpay Technology Bucharest S.R.L. is seeking a Release Train Engineer to lead the Agile Release Train for our Payouts team.

You will facilitate PI planning, system demos, and I&A workshops, coordinating with multiple teams to align deliverables with business priorities and ensure timely value delivery. You will drive risk management, continuous improvement, and collaboration across stakeholders, while coaching teams in Lean-Agile practices and maintaining strong governance through SAFe

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years in an Agile role (e.g., Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or RTE).
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale Agile projects and Release Trains.

We're looking for a Release Train Engineer to join our ever-evolving Payouts team and help shape the future of global commerce.What you’ll ownProgram Execution: Manage and optimise the flow of value through the Agile Release Train using various tools and methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban and other visual management tools.Planning and Facilitation: Facilitate PI (Program Increment) planning events, system demos, and Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshops. Ensure alignment of deliverables with business priorities.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks and dependencies. Implement mitigation strategies and ensure that the ART remains on track.Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives and promoting a culture of feedback and learning within the ART.Technical Guidance: Provide technical leadership and support to teams, ensuring adherence to best practices in software development.Collaboration: Foster collaboration between teams, stakeholders, and external dependencies. Act as a liaison between the ART and other parts of the organisation.Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on ART performance metrics, such as velocity, quality, and delivery timelines. Use data to drive decision-making and improvements.Coaching and Mentoring: Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.PPM Tool Knowledge: Oversee the use of Agile tools (e.g. Clarity, JIRA, Tempo) to ensure effective tracking and management of work items and progress.What you'll bringMinimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in an Agile role (e.g., Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or RTE)Proven experience in managing large-scale Agile projects and Release TrainsCertifications: SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or other relevant Agile certificationsTechnical Expertise: Demonstrate knowledge of software development practices, DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile scaling frameworksSoft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and facilitation skills.
