Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience.
• Associates degree or post-secondary education preferred.
• Strong knowledge of customs laws, regulations and import operations.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Release Operations team members on a day-to-day basis.
• Recruit, coach, guide, train, plan and develop all release team members.
• Assist in performance reviews and career development for staff.
• Conduct staff meetings with the Release Team as required.
• Coordinate with vendor partners to manage workflow and coaching.
• Review flow of work to identify barriers and implement improvements.
• Support Workforce Management with scheduling adjustments.
• Monitor KPIs and communicate progress to leadership.
• Ensure accurate and timely EDI release and rating of shipments.
• Maintain relationships with managers, carriers, and service teams.
• Plan employee scheduling based on volumes, vacations, and holidays.
• Adhere to policies and procedures.
