Electric Power Systems is seeking a Relay Technician II to perform testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection and control systems. The role emphasizes safety, technical proficiency, and independent work with guidance from senior staff.

Involves project support, testing, troubleshooting, and client communication. Ideal candidates will have hands-on relay experience, relevant degrees or NETA II certification, and ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Criminal background check required.
• Overtime and travel offsite may be required.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Experience installing and testing protective relays at substation level.

Responsibilities

• Perform relay testing with guidance from Senior Relay Technicians and Engineers.
• Execute element, logic, and basic functional testing of protective relays and control systems.
• Read and interpret one-line/three-line diagrams and AC/DC schematics.
• Develop testing plans and isolation plans for safe execution.
• Create detailed reports including test results and commissioning records.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to align work activities.
