Job summary

SynchroGrid is seeking a Mid or Senior Electrical Engineer for its Denver office to independently apply standard engineering techniques in system protection for power utilities. You will develop relay settings for multiple manufacturers and perform extensive short circuit and coordination analyses.

The role includes arc flash analysis, NERC compliance verification, and project management to deliver relay settings for Wide Area Coordination.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
Minimum of 5 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage relay setting development for various manufacturers.
Perform short circuit analysis and coordination studies.
Conduct relay mis-operation analysis with Wavewin and SEL SynchroWave.
Perform arc flash analysis with ETAP.
Prepare and review NERC compliance verification reports (PRC standards).
Manage projects to develop relay settings for Wide Area Coordination.
Apply engineering software for ground grid design, relay coordination, load flow, and short circuit studies.
Adhere to NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI standards.
Communicate with project engineers and clients to ensure on-time delivery.
Support project schedules and maintain progress updates.
Provide general engineering support tasks as needed.
