Job summary

Trinity Pension Consultants, Inc. in Akron, Ohio, is seeking a Relationship Manager with a Defined Benefit focus to build and nurture client relationships and communicate complex retirement plan concepts clearly.

In this full-time role, you will support annual administration, assist onboarding new clients, log activity, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver accurate reports and resolutions for sponsors and advisors. Salary is 90,000–105,000, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Experience communicating complex retirement plan concepts clearly.
• Strong relationship-building and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage client onboarding and ongoing administration.
• Knowledge of Defined Benefit administration concepts.

Responsibilities

• Proactively follow up on items necessary to complete annual administration and testing.
• Assist with onboarding Trinity new clients.
• Log email, phone and meeting activities.
• Track conversion events and client communications effectively managing your dashboard.
• Document sponsor and advisor interactions in PensionPro.
• Collaborate with other departments delivering Trinity’s reports and anticipating client questions.
• Explain to Plan Sponsors and Financial Advisors the various aspects of Defined Benefit administration.

Trinity collaborates with retirement plan sponsors and their associated financial professionals in delivering a highly effective administration and compliance solution for their employer sponsored retirement plan.

What Our Relationship Managers are responsible for:

Operations Responsibilities

• Proactivelyandsystematicallyfollowuponallitemsnecessarytocompleteannualadministrationandcompliance testing.
• ProactivelyparticipateandassistwithonboardingTrinitynew clients.
• Logallemail,phoneandmeeting activities.
• Proactively track and monitor all conversion events, administration and compliance events, and client communications effectively managing your dashboard.
• Identifyandenforceallspecialbilling opportunities.
• DocumentinPensionProallSponsorandAdvisorinteractions(meetingminutenotesandcompliance activity)

Relationship Management Responsibilities

• CollaboratewithotherdepartmentsindeliveringTrinity’sreportsandanticipatingtheclient’s questions.
• Explain, in a clear manner, to Plan Sponsors and Financial Advisors the various aspects of Defined Benefit administration, including, but not limited to:
• Actuarial Valuations
• Annual Return Forms 5500
• Discrimination Testing
• Schedule SB
• Participant Distributions
• AFTAP Certifications
• ProactivelycollaboratewithRVP’saboutinternalsales opportunities.
• ResolveconflictsanddisputeswithTrinityserviceswithSponsorsand Advisors.
• Attendandparticipateindepartmentalandcorporate meetings.
• AssistotherTeamMembersinresolvingquestions,disputesand conflicts.

Consulting Responsibilities

• Anticipateclientquestions,problemsandworktowardsolutionsthataretechnicallyclearand accurate.
• Beabletoread,understandandinterpretclient reports.
• Scrubbookofbusinessforinternalsalesopportunitiesandcollaboratewith RVP.
• ManageClientexpectationsrelativetoTrinityService Standards.
• ResolveconflictsanddisputeswithrespecttoClientexpectationsand outcomes.
• ParticipateinSalesMeetingsas needed.
• Stayabreastofindustrytrends,marketand competitors.
• Otherdutiesas assigned.
