Job summary

Shore United Bank in Ocean City, MD is seeking a personable Personal Banker to help clients manage accounts, grow savings, and select banking products. You will build lasting relationships through tailored financial solutions and proactive service.

This full-time, non-exempt role operates between West Ocean City and 34th Street branches, with standard hours Monday–Friday and rotating Saturdays. Banking experience and confidentiality are key.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in banking with an understanding of consumer lending.
• Prior experience in bank teller or customer service role.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities daily.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with customer information.
• Proficient computer skills; specifically, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook desired.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Aid customers in opening, managing, and optimizing their bank accounts and other products.
• Greet and assist walk-in customers and answer phone calls on the front line.
• Refer clients to Merchant, Wye Financial, Commercial Relationship Managers, and Branch Lenders.
• Provide loan processing for customers based on loan policy; take applications and handle inquiries.
• Work on Teller line as needed.
• Represent the Bank with customers and co-workers in a professional manner.
• Train staff on beneficial customer conversations, cross-selling, and needs conversations.
• Perform customer requests including check orders, debit cards, address changes, and fraud disputes.
• Open new consumer and business accounts including CDs, IRAs, and safe deposit boxes.
• Provide excellent service to identify additional client needs, in-person and over the phone.
• Participate in Branch Team Meetings and maintain compliance with laws and policies.
