Job summary

Santander US is seeking a Relationship Banker at our New Jersey location to serve as a trusted advisor, building long-term relationships and cross-selling banking, lending and investment products. You will work to deliver exceptional service and meet branch sales targets.

You will also collaborate with teammates, use digital tools to engage customers, and ensure compliance with regulations while supporting branch growth across the local community.

Qualifications

• 3+ Years Experience selling products and/or services in an incentive-based environment.
• 12+ Months Experience in Retail Banking sales, financial services sales or consultative relationship sales role with proven success.
• 12+ Months Santander experience related to essential functions and responsibilities.
• 12+ Months Customer service experience in a high volume environment.
• Established relationship-building skills focused on customer experience and loyalty.
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others.
• Proven track record in sales and cross-selling products and services.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Excellent communication, consultative and influence skills.
• Professional image and ability to use digital tools for customer engagement.
• Able to follow directions, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to identify and elevate risk concerns.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed sales targets by promoting and cross-selling banking products and services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand financial needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Prospect for new clients through networking, referrals, lead calling, portfolio management and community engagement.
• Meet the financial needs of customers including transactional, servicing and product-based needs.
• Provide elevated, personalized customer experiences and timely resolutions to concerns.
• Engage customers through digital platforms to educate on self-service options.
• Communicate clearly with customers in person, over the phone, or via digital channels.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to risk and fraud defense.
• Collaborate with team members and partners to achieve branch goals and drive performance.

Education

High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred)
