Job summary

Trustmark is seeking a Relationship Banker II - Floaters to travel between assigned branch locations, assist customers with needs, and promote banking products. You will mentor teammates, oversee cash handling, and help process consumer loans while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

The role emphasizes proactive sales/service, adherence to Trustmark standards, and the ability to maintain accurate cash handling across branches.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of face‑to‑face customer service or retail sales experience, preferably in banking.
• Ability to learn consumer and/or mortgage lending guidelines and process loans within 2 years.
• Must be able to register with the NMLS.
• Basic math and cash handling skills; comfortable with technology.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; able to meet sales goals in a retail setting.
• Experience balancing a cash drawer and handling transactions.
• Supervisory experience in a retail/bank environment is a plus.
• Industry knowledge of Relationship Banker role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor Relationship Bankers and Tellers.
• Review and approve various transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and cash items.
• Oversee cash shipments and vault management for the branch.
• Handle origination of consumer loans when needed.
• Identify customer needs and refer appropriate products.
• Sell and cross-sell deposits, loans, insurance and cash management services.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and protect bank assets.
• Balance cash drawer daily and ensure proper documentation.
• Pursue sales and referral goals and convert service into sales.
• Travel between branch locations as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
