Job summary

UMB Bank in Chandler seeks a motivated Personal Banker to build strong customer relationships, recommend financial solutions, and drive home equity, personal loan and mortgage opportunities.

You’ll receive extensive training on products and the sales process and work with leaders to develop your skills while delivering an exceptional customer experience and helping customers achieve financial well-being.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of retail banking sales experience or other relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain an NMLS registration within 90 days.
• Ability to learn products, services and procedures quickly and accurately.
• Ability to build personal connections, engage and educate customers, ask open-ended questions, and listen to establish trust.
• Strong business development capabilities for growing a personal book of business.
• thrive in a high-energy, sales-driven team with daily coaching and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Asking personalized questions to learn about customers' financial goals and connect them to solutions.
• Create and manage a loan pipeline with strong closing conversions focusing on home equity loans, lines of credit, unsecured personal loans, auto loans and mortgage referrals.
• Source consumer lending opportunities through networking, conversations, business development and proactive sourcing.
• Learn processes like transactions, cash handling and bank documentation according to standards.
• Meet daily KPIs while delivering exceptional customer experience.
• Other duties as assigned.
