Job summary

Trustmark Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker to identify customer needs and align them with bank products to grow loyalty and financial well-being. The role involves cash and non-cash transactions, mentoring Tellers, and cross-selling deposits, loans, and services across branch locations.

The position requires 2 years of front-line customer service or Trustmark experience, ability to learn lending guidelines, NMLS registration, math and sales aptitude, and a commitment to professional service

Qualifications

• 2 years of face-to-face customer service experience, retail sales experience or prior Trustmark Relationship Banker experience with a demonstrated track record of exceeding the individual performance goals.
• Able to learn Trustmark consumer and/or mortgage lending guidelines and process applicable loans within 2 years of employment
• Be able to register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
• Able to use basic math concepts and can handle routine transactions and close out the cash drawer
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to learn and communicate Trustmark products
• Pass appropriate assessment tests related to customer service and math skills
• Able to meet sales goals in a retail environment

Responsibilities

• Coach and serve as a mentor to Relationship Bankers and Tellers
• Provide oversight and responsibility to review/approve various transactions (night drop contracts/logs, ATM deposits, collection items, money orders, official checks, cash drawers)
• Handle the cash shipment and vault management for a branch
• Originate consumer loans
• Identify customer needs and refer accordingly through proactive sales/service efforts
• Service, sell, and cross-sell deposit accounts, loan products, insurance products, cash management services
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience that follows Trustmark’s service standards
• Safeguard the bank’s assets and security while processing transactions accurately
• Balance cash drawer daily and ensure proper documents are executed
• Achieve sales and referral goals quarterly
• Make outreach calls to customers and/or prospects
• Travel between branch locations
• Comply with bank guidelines, policies, procedures, and performance standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned
