Job summary

Santander Bank, N.A. is hiring a Banking Center Relationship Banker II in West Hartford, CT. You will serve customers, support the team to reach sales, service, and operations targets, and help with coaching and onboarding of colleagues.

The role requires 3–4 years in customer service and banking sales, with 0–2 years supervisory experience. Flexibility for weekends and rotating shifts is needed to serve our customers.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years customer service and needs-based banking sales experience preferred.
• 0-2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and motivating.
• Working knowledge of all products and services.
• Keeps current with all systems used for branch transaction processing.
• Ability to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule. May be required to work Saturdays, Sundays and extended hours. Travel may be required to alternate Banking Centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide services for Banking Center customers and assist the team in achieving sales, service, and operation goals.
• Supervise and coach fellow relationship bankers as needed.
• Respond to customers' needs in a timely, accurate manner, using available resources.
• Evaluate clients' needs and offer appropriate financial products through needs-based conversations.
• Perform routine teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, check cash, loan payments).
• Support segmentation by implementing sales, retention, and bank initiatives to drive growth.
• Meet/exceed individual and team sales, service, and operations goals.
• Maintain compliance with federal/state regulations and bank policies; pass branch audits.
• Assist with supervision and onboarding of new bankers.
