Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker to develop and manage client relationships in the Springfield, Oregon area. You will open deposits, originate consumer loans, and grow a portfolio while educating customers on digital and traditional banking options.

The role requires banking/ sales experience, with strong emphasis on credit and lending knowledge, relationship-building skills, and the ability to work with internal partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years banking and/or demonstrated sales experience.
• 2 years developing current and new client relationships and meeting sales goals.
• 2 years lending with loan origination/processing.
• Knowledge of consumer and business products and lending skills.

Responsibilities

• Open new deposit accounts and origin consumer loans.
• Originate consumer and some small business loans; manage loan/deposit portfolio.
• Educate customers on services offered by internal partners (Treasury, etc.).
• Proactively outbound calls to current and prospective customers.
• Build a pipeline from in-branch and outbound business development activities.
• Assist customers with digital products and services; resolve issues.
