Job summary

FirstBank Florida is seeking a Personal Banker to promote deposit products, open and service accounts, and provide high levels of customer service in a branch environment. You will collaborate with Treasury and Lending teams to drive cross-sell opportunities, maintain meticulous records, and ensure compliance with BSA/AML/OFAC policies and internal controls.

The role requires strong math and communication skills, experience in banking or related fields, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Three years banking experience or in a similar job is required or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Good mathematical and communications skills
• A formal training in banking products and/or processing new accounts
• Good understanding of financial products, loan documentation, and business objectives of a real-estate lending department
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Meet branch production goals and drive deposit growth
• Promote and service all deposit products and open all account types
• Provide referrals to Treasury and Lending specialists for cross-sell
• Conduct sales initiatives in line with the area business plan
• Ensure customer retention and growth through ongoing servicing and relationship building
• Uphold the bank's customer service philosophy and ensure total customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate account opening and documentation procedures
• Prepare documents and assist customers with signing for account processing
• Input data to create new account files and update existing ones
• Assist in changes to accounts such as address or rate changes
• Promote and explain lending products and cross-sell opportunities
• Resolve customer problems in line with FirstBank Florida service standards
• Answer customer questions about statements, checks, ATM, rates, overdrafts, etc.
• Assist in policy implementation and ensure compliance with federal/state/bank rules
• Maintain IRS/SEP files and liaise with Bankers Systems
• Order supplies and starter kits; maintain logs and timely reports
• Assist customers with overdrafts and delinquent loans
• Perform other related duties as needed
• Serve as teller backup when required
