Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation in Virginia is seeking a Regular 1st shift client service professional to grow and maintain client relationships. The role combines in-branch service with phone support and includes cross-training to perform teller duties as needed.

You will advise on consumer lending options, process loan applications, and help meet branch sales targets by offering financial solutions. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 2 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background checks.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs and locale changes.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions regarding deposit, credit, convenience and other product and service lines.
• Contributes to meeting or exceeding client service and sales targets by offering products and services to develop, expand and retain relationships.
• Supports team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring more complex client needs to internal specialists.
• Participates in all components of the Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Advances knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through meetings and training.
• Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
• Adheres to internal controls and risk management policies and stays informed of policy changes.
• Ensures a consistent client service experience during transactions and client guidance.
