Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a Customer Service/Sales Associate to deliver an industry-leading client service experience in person and by phone while expanding client relationships. You may perform teller duties as needed and support loan applications where appropriate.

The role emphasizes meeting sales targets, consultative conversations, and adherence to risk controls, with weekend/extended hours and occasional travel as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; required.
• 2 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Must be SAFE compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included.

Responsibilities

• Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions regarding deposit, credit, convenience and other product and service lines.
• Contributes to meeting or exceeding client service and branch sales targets by offering products and services focused on developing, expanding and retaining relationships.
• Supports team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring more complex client needs to internal specialists.
• Participates fully in all components of the established Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Advances knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through training and meetings.
• Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
• Adheres to internal controls, procedures and risk management policies; stays informed of policy changes.
• Greet clients, conduct transactions and uncover needs to ensure a consistent client service experience.
