Job summary

First Bank in Ballwin, MO is seeking a Banking Specialist II to deliver exceptional client service, open new accounts, and handle daily teller transactions for both new and existing customers.

You will identify cross-sell opportunities, assist with loan applications, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and audit procedures while providing a friendly, professional banking experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months previous client service experience preferred.
• Previous cash-handling experience required.
• Previous banking experience strongly preferred.
• NLMS registration preferred.
• Developed customer service skills, including written and verbal communication.
• Ability to use a PC and alpha/numeric keyboard.
• Flexible work week schedule, which may include Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent client service by opening new accounts and maintaining accounts and products as requested.
• Explain rates, terms, and fees and provide required disclosures per regulatory requirements.
• Expand use of online and ATM services and promote self-service channels.
• Assist in processing and closing consumer loan applications when appropriate.
• Increase sales and cross-sell opportunities during events and outreach activities.
• Maintain branch compliance through audits, training, and security procedures.
• Balance cash drawers and report any discrepancies to management.
• Coach junior staff on products, services, policies, and procedures.
