Job summary

Citizens is seeking a proactive Bank Customer Associate to help customers make informed financial decisions and build lasting relationships. You will use strong communication and problem-solving skills to recommend financial solutions, guide customers to digital banking, and collaborate with specialists for complex needs.

You’ll participate in outreach, support branch goals, and uphold policy compliance while delivering excellent service and community-focused banking.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• 2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals.
• Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship.
• Proven success with building relationships, and recommending and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions.
• Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals.
• Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issues.
• Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration.
• Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
• Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations and assist customers with financial solutions using your communication and problem-solving skills.
• Introduce customers to digital and mobile banking options, including app and ATMs.
• Collaborate with Wealth Management, Mortgage and Business Banking for complex needs.
• Make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkups.
• Follow all financial policies and cash handling procedures and stay compliant with laws.
