Job summary

High Plains Bank in Limon, CO is seeking a motivated Relationship Assistant to support loan operations, renewals, and maintenance, coordinating with Relationship Managers and DocPrep teams. You will manage file collection, schedule meetings, set up payments, and handle annual reviews, with a focus on customer service and timely documentation.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite.
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate specialized banking software and systems.
  • Business/Finance/Accounting degree is a plus.
  • Notary Public certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate loan administration process for loans in the pipeline.
  • Coordinate meetings with customers and Relationship Management teams including kick-off and closing.
  • Coordinate collection of complete customer file.
  • Manage critical documents.
  • Coordinate with other teams to keep the loan process moving forward.
  • Post closing and payment communication.
  • Coordinate annual reviews.
  • Maintain complete customer loan files.
  • Coordinate customer connections with other team members within the bank.
  • Maintain knowledge of other bank products and services customers may need and facilitate connections.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Relationship Assistant to join our team in Limon.

Your Mission

As a "Customer Concierge," you will partner with Relationship Managers to coordinate loan operations, renewals, and maintenance. You will ensure proactive communication and attention to detail to meet critical deadlines while serving as a primary point of contact for customer service and financial needs.

Your Day-to-Day

Your daily activities are varied, engaging, and highly collaborative. You drive the loan process by scheduling meetings, gathering complete customer files, engaging necessary third-party services, and keeping critical documentation moving smoothly to teams like DocPrep and Credit Analysis. You deliver ongoing customer support by conducting post-closing check-ins, setting up payments, and managing loan files, covenants, and annual review scheduling. You coordinate internal operations—such as preparing weekly market meeting packets, clearing exceptions, tracking maturing loans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to continuously refine workflow procedures. In addition, you actively connect customers with internal bank specialists for additional products and services.

Experience

  • Prior loan processing or credit experience
  • Prior banking experience

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate specialized banking software and systems

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

  • A degree is business, finance, or accounting is a plus
  • Prior title insurance experience
  • Notary Public certification
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Accountabilities of the position

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate loan administration process for loans in the pipeline

Coordinate and Manage Internal Processes

  • Prepare weekly Market Meeting packets
  • Coordinate for maturing loans and lines, upcoming rate changes, annual reviews and exceptions
  • Assist with process and procedure development and maintenance and stay aligned with the Loan Operations team

Target compensation range

$22.00-$30.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications - other factors may be considered
