Job description

High Plains Bank is hiring! Serving Eastern and Northern Colorado, High Plains Bank is an authentic, community-driven bank. We are compassionate problem-solvers and craft bankers, committed to understanding the unique needs of each customer and tailoring solutions to optimize their financial well being. We empower each other as leaders and embrace a growth mindset, fostering a supportive environment where everyone feels valued, has the opportunity to thrive and the ability to get things done.

We are looking for an analytical, team-oriented problem solver to join our Loan Operations team as a Loan Servicing Specialist.

Your Mission

Your mission is to act as an anchor for our lending operations by ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service for our internal partners. Working alongside a collaborative team, you will dive into a variety of tasks that keep our core banking systems precise and our collateral protected. You are not here to just run through a repetitive checklist; but to understand the deeper "why" behind our processes and directly contribute to the bank's success by resolving internal customer inquiries with precision.

What Sets You Apart

You are an adaptable, critical thinker who thrives in a dynamic environment where you need to shift gears and re-prioritize on the fly. Rather than fearing mistakes, you view challenges as opportunities to learn, ask questions, and refine your approach. You possess a strong team-first mindset and love working in a positive, friendly atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to speak their minds openly, focus on finding the right answers, and support one another. Furthermore, you value accuracy over pure speed, understanding that thoroughness is what truly protects our institution.

The Day to Day

On any given day, your schedule will be diverse, engaging, and rarely repetitive. You will review loan data, execute daily maintenance, and process paid-off loans while interacting closely with external banks. You will also manage critical collateral documents, ensuring everything from vehicle titles to deeds of trust are flawlessly handled throughout the lifecycle of a loan. Finally, you will serve as a foundational support system for our internal personnel, monitoring our ticketing and chat systems to compassionately deliver solutions to inquiries.

What you bring to High Plains Bank
Experience

Proven experience working in a professional office environment.

Prior experience in customer service roles, with a track record of handling email correspondence and professional communication effectively.

A stable employment history that demonstrates commitment and longevity.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to evaluate complex processes rather than relying solely on a checklist.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple shifting priorities and proactively ask for guidance when managing workloads.

A collaborative communication style that thrives within a team-oriented environment.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

Prior professional experience within the banking or financial services industry.

Familiarity with banking systems, specifically the Jack Henry Xperience core banking platform and the AccuAccount digital file storage system.
