Job description

High Plains Bank is hiring! Serving Eastern and Northern Colorado, High Plains Bank is an authentic, community-driven bank. We are compassionate problem-solvers and craft bankers, committed to understanding the unique needs of each customer and tailoring solutions to optimize their financial well being. We empower each other as leaders and embrace a growth mindset, fostering a supportive environment where everyone feels valued, has the opportunity to thrive and the ability to get things done.

We are seeking a Credit Analyst who has the capacity to be creative; taking the time to understand each customer’s unique needs while mitigating risk, to join our team in any of our Colorado locations.

Your mission?

To develop narratives that tell financial stories, based on a deep understanding of what can be learned from financial documents.

As a Credit Analyst, you will take the lead to spread and analyze financials for a portfolio rooted in commercial business and agricultural operations. You will assemble loan presentations and provide ongoing risk mitigation through loan reviews and covenant testing. You'll collaborate closely with relationship managers to grasp the intricacies of each customer's needs, occasionally attending customer meetings to ensure understanding of the terms and conditions negotiated.

Working with relationship assistants, you'll ensure all necessary documents are collected, from tax returns to credit reports. Your role extends to liaising with the Chief Credit Officer to ensure adherence to loan policies and guidance. You will also assist the Chief Credit Officer in preparing reports for the bank board and bank examiners.

In this role, you'll never be bored. Every day brings new challenges—whether analyzing a manufacturing expansion or an agricultural production line—and opportunities to learn and grow. You'll develop a well-rounded skill set and gain invaluable experience in the financial industry.

What sets you apart?

You possess a unique blend of technical expertise and empathy, allowing you to not only understand the details of financial documents but also to connect with our customers on a human level. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving, coupled with curiosity and eagerness to learn. In a role where attention to detail and quick thinking are key, your ability to handle pressure and stay organized makes you stand out. Whether your goal is to be a Credit Analyst long-term, or pursue other opportunities for growth within the bank, we're here to support your professional development.
