Job summary

American Amicable Life Insurance Company of Texas is seeking a Reinsurance Specialist to support administration, reporting, billing, documentation, and treaty compliance. You will develop expertise in reinsurance operations while ensuring accurate processes and data integrity.

Qualifications

  • Has an associate’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Has experience in insurance, accounting, operations, or a related field (preferred).
  • Possesses the ability to learn reinsurance concepts and apply them effectively.
  • Can manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Has intermediate level of English proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and submission of monthly reinsurance premium billings.
  • Support the preparation, reconciliation, and distribution of reinsurance reports while identifying and escalating discrepancies.
  • Maintain reinsurance files, trackers, documentation, and process records to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather required information and support audits, treaty updates, and reporting initiatives.
  • Provide backup support for claims-related reinsurance activities, identify process improvement opportunities, and elevate issues as needed.
  • Follow and maintain documented procedures and workflows.
  • Assist with support for new or amended reinsurance treaties.
  • Conduct company business in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and the iA Financial Group Code of Conduct.
