Job summary

MassMutual seeks a seasoned actuary to join the Reinsurance Development team within Corporate Actuarial in either Boston or Springfield. You will lead analytics, model inforce and new business reinsurance performance, and partner with pricing, valuation and product teams to optimize strategies.

The role requires 5+ years of life/health/annuity experience, ASA/FSA credentials preferred, and you will collaborate across multiple stakeholders including ERM and administration teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• ASA designation is required or strongly preferred.
• FSA or equivalent credentials are a plus but not required for the role.
• Minimum 5 years of life/health/annuity insurance experience in the US market.

Responsibilities

• Serve as modeling lead for analytics & reporting.
• Assess inforce and new reinsurance profitability and risk.
• Develop analytics framework to evaluate cash flows with reinsurers.
• Collaborate with pricing, valuation, and product teams.
• Present strategy recommendations to senior leadership.
