One80 Intermediaries in Tyler, TX seeks an Accountant – FEIC to manage vendor payments, journal entries and quarterly financial reporting for FEIC entities. The role demands strong accounting knowledge, regulatory awareness, and precise reporting to management.

The candidate should handle high-volume reconciliations, respond to auditor inquiries, and maintain accurate financial records while meeting tight deadlines. Overtime may be required to achieve reporting milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience in office management or progressive accounting responsibility preferred.
• Firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Vendor invoice payment processing for FEIC entities.
• Journal entries for periodic financial statement reporting purposes for FEIC entities.
• Complying with all company, local, state, federal and CIMA accounting and financial regulations (surplus lines, sales & use tax, 1099s, etc.).
• Billings and collections for insurance deductibles and reinsurance recoveries.
• Financial statement reporting for FEIC by 45 days from each quarter end.
• Complex and large volume of reconciliations (bank accounts, insurance program bordereaux by carrier and program year, security deposits, fixed assets, etc.).
• Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
• Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc. for multiple entities
• Maintaining accurate financial records.
• Performing reconciliation audits and resolving discrepancies.
• Preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.

Our Tyler, Texas office is seeking a talented Accountant – FEIC to work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy, working with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management. You should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer, verbal and written communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities And Duties

• Vendor invoice payment processing for FEIC entities
• Journal entries for periodic financial statement reporting purposes for FEIC entities

Requirements And Qualifications

• Office manager or progressive accounting responsibility experience preferred
• Great Plains, Quickbooks and AMS360 experience preferred
• Strong organizational, excel, analytical, communication, customer service and computer skills
• Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes
• Ethical behavior
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work overtime as needed to achieve reporting deadlines
• Occasional travel may be required
