Job summary

Jefferson is seeking a Rehabilitation Aide to prepare patients and environments for treatments and to assist therapists under supervision. The role supports both group and individual sessions in acute care, acute rehab, skilled facilities, and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities include patient transportation, maintaining clean treatment areas, clerical duties, supervising group exercises, and communicating with therapists to ensure timely and coordinated care.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience, 1 year preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Performs patient care under direct supervision of a licensed therapy professional.
• Provides assistance according to departmental policies and procedures and applicable state practice guidelines.
• Transports patients to treatment area with timely arrival for therapy appointment.
• Assures that equipment and treatment areas remain clean, properly stored and ready for use according to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Performs clerical duties as directed by staff and supervisors in a timely manner to insure smooth daily operations of the department.
• Supervises exercise programs, leads group exercises, documents appropriately, and demonstrates knowledge of safety for participants.
• Demonstrates familiarity with basic computer skills such as scheduling, transporter lists, billing and ability to set up new patient/administer survey.
• Communicates impressions and objective information in a clear and timely manner to therapists, supervisors, and others as directed to insure efficient coordination and optimal outcomes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
