Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Support Aide to assist with treatment preparation, exercises, ambulation, and therapy readiness under the supervision of licensed therapists. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes.

You will help with equipment, supplies, and communication across the care team, promoting a positive patient experience and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED required.
• Prior related health care experience preferred.
• Current BLS (CPR).
• Must be able to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Care Delivery: Assists with treatment preparation, exercises, gait, hot/cold application, hydrotherapy under supervision of licensed therapist; helps clean/inventory equipment and order supplies; reports questions or concerns regarding compliance to staff.
• Professionalism and Personal Development: Demonstrates professionalism, supports interdisciplinary team, and fosters positive patient access and care delivery; flexible with hours and willing to learn new skills.
