Job summary

DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan in Detroit, Michigan, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for PRN days to diagnose and treat speech, language, swallowing and cognitive disorders, using a range of assessments. You will document progress and contribute to the inter-disciplinary rehab team.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Michigan licensure, CCC, and 6–12 months of experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology required.
• Current license to practice in Michigan required.
• CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required or eligible.
• Six to twelve months additional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat speech, language, swallowing and cognitive disorders.
• Develop and administer treatment plans and home programs.
• Counsel and educate patients and families on communication and swallowing skills.
• Document diagnostic reports and progress notes; code for billing; participate in rounds.
