Job summary

HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital in Walterboro, SC is recruiting a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse for a PRN Rehab Unit role. The RN will assess, plan, implement and coordinate treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team to achieve positive outcomes.

You will maintain accountability for assigned patients, support rehab goals, administer medications per orders, and educate patients and families about plans.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina in good standing.
• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
• 1 year of RN experience in a Rehab setting is required

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients.
• Assist a patient exercise, provide proper skin care to prevent skin breakdown and ensure patients are properly positioned to prevent further immobility.
• Coordinate with the rehab therapy team to provide acute medical management to improve a patient’s loss of or impairment in functional skills such as mobility, cognition, activities of daily living and communication.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans
