Job summary

HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital in South Carolina is seeking a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, and coordinate a patient’s treatment plan within the nursing department. You will work with the care team to optimize mobility and daily living activities while ensuring safety and compliance with physician orders.

The role requires an active SC RN license, BLS certification, and 1 year of rehab experience.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher required.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina in good standing.
Current BLS/Health Care Provider certification (AHA or Red Cross) required.
Minimum 1 year RN experience in Rehab setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients.
Assist a patient exercise, provide proper skin care to prevent skin breakdown and ensure patients are properly positioned to prevent further immobility.
Coordinate with the rehab therapy team to provide acute medical management to improve a patient’s loss of or impairment in functional skills such as mobility, cognition, activities of daily living and communication.
Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.
