Job summary

County of San Mateo is hiring a Rehabilitation Production Supervisor I/II to oversee the WorkCenter and supervise staff serving clients with disabilities. The role includes training, evaluating progress, and ensuring safety and quality in production activities.

The Supervisor will coordinate with counselors, plan work, and monitor inventory and shipping, while providing back-up support to the Production Manager as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computerized inventory control and shipping systems.
• Ability to operate forklift and other materials handling equipment.
• Maintain records and prepare reports.
• Safety principles and methods including first aid.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and supervise work of clients with vocational goals.
• Coordinate client programs with counselors and plan activities.
• Observe and report on progress, attendance, and employment potential.
• Maintain workshop order and safety on the WorkCenter.
• Supervise shipping/receiving and warehouse operations.
