Job summary

The Center for Elders’ Independence, a PACE organization in California, seeks a Rehab Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the rehabilitation department at an assigned location. You will supervise staff, ensure competency and training, and collaborate with the IDT to implement care plans and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT).
• 1-2 years supervisory experience in rehab settings.
• At least 3 years clinical experience with 2 years supervising rehab staff.
• Experience with clinical consultation.
• Experience providing training to PTs, OTs, Rehab Assistants and Rehab Aides.
• Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines in changing priorities.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural, interdisciplinary setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Independent work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day operations of rehabilitation staff in assigned location, including scheduling and coverage.
• Ensures all rehabilitation staff are current with competency evaluations, trainings and performance.
• On-boards new staff to the rehabilitation department and IDT.
• Collaborates on program development and process improvement.
• Assists physician and IDT in evaluating participants using muscle, nerve, joint and functional tests.
• Develops and carries out care plans to maximize independence.
• Conducts screenings, initial assessments and re-evaluations of participants.
• Observes and reports participant responses to rehab interventions to the IDT.
• Provides in-services and training to other health team members.
• Attends IDT and site meetings and participates in care planning.
