Job summary

Craig Hospital in Englewood, CO seeks a Rehabilitation Engineer II to design and apply assistive technology to improve patient independence. You will work with clinicians on wheelchairs, adaptive devices and embedded systems, leading or collaborating on projects as needed.

Requires a Master’s in electrical or software engineering, 3–5 years’ related experience, and strong CAD, electronics and embedded software (C/C++/OOP). Day shift, on-site in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical or software engineering required.
• 3–5 years experience with adaptive equipment required; TBI/SCI preferred.
• Proficient with SolidWorks CAD; embedded software in C/C++/OOP.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify assistive technology equipment; develop specs and standards.
• Provide assessment and prototype solutions for patients and families.
• Develop assistive technology plans with costs, timing, and training.
• Physically modify, assemble, and install equipment per manuals and safety rules.
• Collaborate with vendors and teams to troubleshoot hardware issues.
