Job summary

Southeast Health is seeking a Rehab Services Tech I to join the rehabilitation team on a day shift. This per diem, 0.5 FTE role supports patient care within approved scope and helps train new Rehab Services Techs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in Rehab Services or a pre-Physical Therapy degree, and English proficiency. Basic computer skills and knowledge of therapeutic modalities are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the Rehab Services Department or completion of four-year degree in a pre-Physical Therapy field required.
• Prefer 2 years experience in an acute care hospital or rehab setting as a technician.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an emergency situation.

The tech performs tasks within the scope for training and laws governing the provision of each rehabilitation therapy service. Assumes all responsibilities of a Rehab Services Tech I and additional department duties. Assists with training new Rehab Services Techs.
