Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Rehab Tech/Admin Specialist to support front desk coverage and assist clinical staff in the rehabilitation services department.

The role involves non-licensed duties, clerical tasks, patient interaction, and collaboration with therapists to ensure smooth operations across Rehabilitation Services. Requires a High School Diploma and BLS within 90 days; a Bachelor’s degree and healthcare experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• BLS Certification within 90 days of hire is required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follows standard precautions and infection control policies.
• Operates and maintains rehab equipment safely.
• Maintains equipment cleaning logs and monthly maintenance.
• Ensures compliance with JCAHO standards for EOC.
• Assists therapists and supports patient care under supervision.
• Communicates with patients and families about care plans and visits.
• Schedules and reschedules patients for Rehabilitation Services and satellite locations.
• Performs clerical and routine business office tasks related to rehab services.
