Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago is seeking a capable leader to supervise the outpatient physical therapy department. The role requires directing daily Rehab Services, coordinating physicians and therapists, and implementing policies to grow programs.

The candidate will manage staff, maintain licensure, ensure safety with BCLS, and provide direct patient care as needed. This full-time position offers a dynamic hospital setting and opportunities across a large health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of physical therapy with a BA or BS degree.
• Three years experience as a practicing physical therapist.
• Licensed by the Physical Therapy Board of state.
• BCLS for healthcare provider’s certification upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Rehab Services daily activities.
• Coordinates and supervises staff and clinical affiliates, treatments and activity schedule.
• Assists in planning and establishing policies and procedures and development of new programs.
• Trains and monitors competency of new and current personnel.
• Assists in staff performance evaluations.
• Direct patient care including evaluation and treatment as dictated by census with a negative variance.
• Assists Director in management of department and assumes any delegated assignments.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $96,907.20 to $140,379.20 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
