Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Services to oversee the physical, occupational, and speech therapy departments. You will assist the DOR in directing clinical programs, staffing, and compliance across the rehab services.

The role requires active state licenses in respective therapies, supervisory experience in post-acute care, and strong computer skills. CPR certification and ongoing compliance training are required.

Qualifications

• Active license in physical, occupational, or speech therapy as applicable.
• Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• Supervisory experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Liaisons with patients, families, and support departments to plan for patient needs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Exercise good body mechanics at all times.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities.
• Implement and interpret department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Recruit, select, hire, evaluate, train, counsel, and supervise rehab staff.
• Function as staff therapist as caseload requires.
• Maintain appropriate staffing patterns as clinically indicated.
• Utilize therapy software and assume DOR duties in absence.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and professionalism.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies including Code of Conduct.
• Compliance training as required.
