Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) for the Rehab unit at Lorain Hospital. This role provides direct patient care under RN supervision, supports mobility, hygiene, and vital sign monitoring, while delivering responsive patient and family service.

Qualified candidates will have a nursing aide background, BLS preferred, and EPIC EHR familiarity. The position is full-time, on-site, with rotating weekends and holidays, and benefits outlined in the notice.

Qualifications

• BLS Basic Life Support preferred on hire or must obtain before direct patient care.
• Successful completion of an approved nursing aide training program or STNA/CNA equivalent.
• One year of relevant clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN guidance.
• Record vital signs and assist with hygiene and mobility.
• Document accurately in patient care records.
• Assist with hand-offs and report pertinent information.
• Mobilize patients using safe techniques.
• Support patients to perform tasks independently when possible.
