Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Wheaton, IL is hiring a Rehabilitation Nurse Technician II (RNT2) to join the rehab care team. This position requires 12-hour shifts, days and evenings, and 0.9FTE, working under the direction of a registered nurse to support patient care and unit operations.

The RNT2 will help with EHR and chart management, cross-train for direct care, participate in unit quality projects, data collection, and precept new staff.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent (GED) is required.
• Current CNA certification or enrollment in an RN program with two clinical rotations completed.
• Current CPR certification.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people and provide high-level customer service.
• Understanding and support of Northwestern Medicine’s Mission and Values.
• Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support unit and patient care needs under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Assist with management of the electronic health record and paper chart.
• Float to direct care positions as needed.
