Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Rehab Nurse Technician for the Brain Injury unit on a full-time 12-hour day shift in Wheaton, IL. The role supports patients under an RN, assists with ADLs, cares for skin, monitors vital signs, and participates in therapy readiness and transfers.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team on Two East, a CARF-accredited brain injury program, with opportunities for professional growth, tuition assistance, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current CNA certification required or active RN program enrollment with clinical rotations in progress.
• Basic math skills required.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.
• Understanding of Northwestern Medicine’s mission and values; flexibility to adapt to changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Collects and reports pertinent physiological, psychological, and functional data.
• Assists with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Performs skin care and bowel/bladder programs as directed.
• Obtains vital signs and documents values; reports abnormalities.
• Transfers and assists with mobility and therapy readiness.
• Provides supervision and safety for patients at risk for falls or injury.
