Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Rehab Aide to join our PRN pool. You will support therapists by performing routine patient activities, assisting with treatment sessions, and helping with equipment needs.

You’ll ensure patients are prepared for therapy, communicate effectively with the care team, and assist with transport to and from sessions. Requires HS diploma and current BLS; prior healthcare exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good interpersonal communication and teamwork.
• Physical ability to assist with patients and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Rehabilitation Aide to join our team. As our Assistant, you will perform routine patient related activities as assigned under the direction of the Therapist. Your duties and responsibilities may include

• You will assist with treatment sessions and patient related activities.
• You will anticipate Therapist needs and assist with equipment needs.
• You will ensure patients are prepared for therapy and adheres to patient specific needs.
• You will demonstrate proactive and effective communication with patients and Therapists.
• You will act as transport Liaison for patients to and from scheduled treatment sessions and group activities in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Previous experience in appropriate healthcare setting preferred.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Critical thinking and adaptability; services excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; PC skills
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting patients and /or equipment up to 50 pounds

What qualifications you will need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
