Job summary

HCA Florida Capital Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for a PRN/per diem/as-needed role. You will assess patients, design personalized therapy plans, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to restore mobility and function.

The position emphasizes evidence-based interventions and patient education. You will monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and document outcomes while mentoring therapy staff and upholding our values of excellence and compassion.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist with active state license
• BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of start
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team
• Delivering evidence-based interventions that restore movement, reduce pain, and improve quality of life
• Monitoring progress, refining therapy plans, and documenting outcomes accurately
• Educating patients and families on exercise programs, techniques, and safety
• Collaborating across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth recovery transitions
• Mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare values

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Physical Therapist, you play a vital role in helping patients regain strength, restore mobility, and rebuild confidence following illness, injury, or surgery. Working closely with physicians and the care team, you’ll assess each patient’s needs and create personalized therapy plans designed around meaningful goals, active engagement, and exceptional patient outcomes. Your role will include:

• Evaluating patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
