Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a patient-focused aide to support the Physical Therapy team in Towson, MD. Under direct supervision, you will prepare patients and equipment, assist with treatments, and monitor patients during sessions, reporting changes to the therapist.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred (3 months).
• Knowledge of patient care policies and procedures.
• Ability to learn EMR and use basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist under supervision with preparing patients and equipment for therapy.
• Transport patients to and from treatment areas; set up rooms and equipment.
• Aid therapists with treatments and monitor patient safety during sessions.
• Take patient vitals and assist with administrative tasks and audits.
• Report changes or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Maintain infection control standards and manage supplies and DME.
• Provide Excel/Office assistance as needed and support department errands.
