Job summary

GBMC is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to assist patients under supervision of a physical therapist. You will implement therapy plans, document progress, and educate patients and caregivers while coordinating with the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, supporting productivity standards, and continuously updating clinical knowledge through ongoing education.

Qualifications

• AA degree from an accredited PTA program and Maryland PTA licensure required.
• Maryland PTA license current and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients to reach maximum physical potential per the plan of care.
• Implement treatment and document progress; consult PT when changes are needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe mobility.
• Communicate patient status and needs with PT, RN and discharge planner.
• Maintain documentation, follow productivity standards and use EMR tools.
